My feet hurt! The weekend just ended and we just did 4 performances for my school musical.
On Saturday, I was so nervous, never having been in the show before. On Sunday, it was a lot more fun because we had gotten use to the jitters. What was really great was that some people went outside in their costume and entertained the audience by badmouthing the bad king and being "arrested" by the royal guards. Fun!
I'm looking forward to next week.

Oops. Did I say school musical? I meant church musical, the one I've been mentioning. You wouldn't know the story because it's original. It's a interesting story because it has expanded two musicals. The one we're doing is a sequel.
Backstory: It's basicly that in a imaginary European kingdom in Victorian times, there was a king named King Montaine. He had no sons, but two nephews, Kendalton and Mauvay. Mauvay was the oldest of the two so he would rule when he died, but the King felt that Mauvay did not have the right qualities his brother had. So he changed the Royal Protocol so that Kendalton would be king and Mauvay the Royal Secretary. So he died and Kendalton became king. Kendalton had twin daughters with his wife Darleanne, but his wife died. Kendalton didn't think he could love again until he met Princess Quianna, a princess from a small kingdom. They married.
First Musical/Journey of Faith (2004/I wasn't in this one): Kendalton is so grateful that he has Quianna that he decrees that year's Royal Christmas Celebration will be in her honor to welcome her to the kingdom. The Villagers, who are mostly Christian unlike their king and queen, feel this is wrong and that it should be in Jesus's name, but do not say anything. Quianna needs a new gown for the Celebration, but they need a new Royal Dressmaker. Instead she goes to Renae and her husband, Jeremiah, dressmaker and tailor for the Commoners. She becomes friends with them and they tell her about the Commoner's Christmas Service at the church. The Royals and Commoners do not celebrate Christmas together so Quianna is interested about this and begs Kendalton that they go. They end up going and Quianna becomes a Christian. Kendalton does not feel that he needs to be Christian. To make Quianna happy, he decreed that the Royals (including the Royal family and Royal Court) and Commoners would celebrate Christmas together. Meanwhile, Mauvay is angry that Kendalton is breaking protocol and rips the page that allowed Kendalton to be king.
Tale of Three Kings (2007/I'm in this one): One day, Mauvay found a letter supposely from King Montaine in the Armory. It says that he wanted Mauvay to be king. So Kendalton is dethroned and Mauvay's family, his wife Hauteanna and their daughter Reanna become the Royal family. Jeremiah and Renae take Kendalton and Quianna in. Quianna and her step daughters, Kayleanne and Sherianne, learn how to make dresses and work for Renae. Kendalton can not get a job because all he knew was how to rule the kingdom. It makes it worse that Hauteanna and Reanna make things worse and unbearable to his family, but they attempt to stay strong thanks to their Christian morals. Kendalton is depressed because he is not Christian and doesn't trust God. Jeremiah shows him he is wrong, that God loves him, and converts him. Kendalton is happy now that he has discovered Jesus. Meanwhile, Hauteanna reveals to Mauvay that she forged the letter he had found. She thought that it was the right time to tell him. Mauvay realizes that he has been unjust to others and why Montaine had wanted Kendalton to be King. He resigns and tells the Lords of the Court the truth. Kendalton tells Mauvay that he forgives him and gives him a Bible.
Kind of cheesy because it has Royalty in it, but I like it and it's fun.
